Before Vince Carter, there was John Starks, who performed "The Dunk" as a member of the New York Knicks, when Starks spectacularly dunked over Horace Grant and Michael Jordan during a playoff game against the Bulls.

John Starks will always be remembered for The Dunk.

When someone says this, it usually means they've bailed on you.

Popularized in the sitcom Married with Children, when Peggy's relatives from Wanker County went to "get cigarattes" and left Seven behind, for good.

Inbred redneck couple: "We're going to get cigarettes."
Al: "Shit!"
