Definitions by Diggity Monkeez

Visible air pollution often seen hovering around big cities (Los Angeles). The word 'smog' comes from the combination of the words 'smoke' and 'fog'.
There were times when a face mask was required to walk safely around Toronto because of SARS; Los Angeles is still like that because of SMOG.

Central America

The land between South America and the U.S. (or, in the opinion of some, Mexico). I often consider Caribbean countries to be part of Central America.
Lucas: Ever been to South America?

Percy: No, but I've been to Central America.

Lucas: Isn't that technically part of North America?

Percy: Isn't your mom technically your dad, too?

Lucas: No.

Able to read and write in one's native language. The opposite of 'literate' is 'illiterate'.

Double-Cross

To break a promise in a way that harms the person with whom the deal was originally struck. To double-cross is to back-stab and to two-time.

Also, double-crossing can be merely 'ratting' someone out.
Vic was double-crossed by his friend Alan, who informed Nelson Fingers of the upcoming deal.

To continuously look at someone/thing for a while; considered rude.
Darren: That kid with the giant glasses was staring at me throughout the entire performance! Man, I should have slugged him in the stomach right there!

Tom: Everyone was looking at you. You had toilet paper on your shoe.

Cell Phone

The cell phone, one of the greatest things to come out of the 1980s, is one of the new millenium's most popular trends. Cell phones provide communication from almost anywhere, like in a mall, on a bus, in school, on an irplane, or even while driving!
Cell phones allow people to talk loudly and obnoxiously from miles away, as opposed to only while in the same room.
