gag me with a spoon 

Exclamation that describes displeasure on the part of the speaker due to something being distasteful or otherwise sickening or displeasurable. From valspeak, so somewhat archaic. Usage these days is considered silly.
Oh, gag me with a spoon! Look at the zits all over that nerd's face!

to the max 

Used as a suffix to a slang term, amplifies it to the upper limit (IE, grody versus "grody to the max"). Widely used in 80's slang (esp. grody to the max, from the Valley), possibly comes from pidgin.
That guy in the car is picking his nose! Grody to the max!

Garbage Grove 

Perjorative term for the city of Garden Grove, California, due to a previous (and somewhat unfounded) reputation for being a haven for crime, nastiness, and generally bad stuff.
Oh, that explains it, you're from Garbage Grove.

Lost all of his money in risky financial undertakings (gambling, stock market)
He bought four thousand shares of Foocorp, and lost his shirt when they filed bankruptcy!

Lost Wages 

Perjorative name for Las Vegas, Nevada, due to the tendency of one to lose money in gambling. Also spelled with dollar signs in place of each letter S (Lo$t Wage$)
Joe went to Lo$t Wage$ and lost his shirt.

exactly what it says on the tin 

The label on the item in question is self descriptive, and leaves no doubt as to what is contained in the package.

"Tin" refers to what they call "cans" in England.
"This label says 'fireworks'. What's in the box?" "Exactly what it says on the tin.
