When someone experiences a Déjà vu of a humorous moments. Inspired by the character Fred Elliot from the British Soap Coronation Street who was famous for repeating himself, in particular with the well known phrase 'I say, I say'.

I'm phelan like Pat 

When you're so angry with someone you momentarily feel like commiting murder. This term was thought to originate from the British Soap character Pat Phelan, an infamous serial killer.
I'm so angry that he stole my ergonomic pen. I'm phelan like Pat.

Dev and Deirdre

Sexual tension. Phrase came into use after the characters of Deirdre Barlow and Dev Alahan in the Soap Opera Coronation Street took part in some of the steamiest scenes in UK TV history.

Used when talking about Horror Films when a character is clearly going to die soon. Inspired by the British Soap character Gail Platt who has had 4 out of her 5 husbands die.
He shouldn't have gone into that lock up garage. He's a Groom of Gail now.

Raquel Watts 

A life long goal that, even if attained, is not right for you and your happiness. This references how the British TV character Curly Watts obsessed over the model barmaid Raquel Watts only to eventually marry her and discover the relationship wasn't meant to be.
Don't apply for Love Island. Even if you get famous it will turn out to be your Raquel Watts.

When a product is built to last a longer than expected. Inspired by the British Soap character Ken Barlow who has featured in the show Coronation Street for 60 years.
This Sharpie still hasn't run out. Say what you like about Sharpies but they are built to Ken.
