A phrase to describe how one event /person /thing is at the core the same as another one, but with it’s differences .
“Have you watched that show ‘New Girl?’, it’s a bit like ‘F.r.i.e.n.d.s’. Same chicken, different seasoning.”

“Ed Gamble” is new Cockney rhyming slang for “Ramble”. As in to go on a tangent about something.
