"Marg bar Amrika!" chanted the insurgents, remembering the heroic but ultimately unsuccessful deeds of the 2nd-century general against the Romans.

Judenhass

Literally "Jew hate." An outdated German term that was replaced by Antisemitismus in the 19th century, leading to the English word "antisemitism." The point of the word "antisemitism" was to make hatred of Jews seem rational by giving it a Latin-sounding name.

Judenhass has been out of style for over 100 years now, but hatred of Jews continues.

Cynically using a minority group as an instrument to attack one's political rivals. Commonly done by the right, which has zero concern for Jews (as evidenced by their entire politics) but likes to use us as a weapon.

If you thought the instrumentalization of Jews to attack Ilhan Omar was bad, watch as the utterly unscrupulous GOP tries to instrumentalize Jews to attack... Bernie... Sanders?!?!

Springtime for Hitler

1. The name of an intentionally bad play released by the characters in Mel Brooks' The Producers with the intention of making money off of its loss, which turned out to be a success, ruining their plan.

2. By extension, any attempt to fail that ends up resulting in an unwanted success that is bad for everyone involved.

Much to his chagrin as well as that of most of the country, Trump won the election, and it was Springtime for Hitler in 2017.

To go across state lines with an illegal weapon for the purpose of murdering innocent protesters and then claiming self-defense. Only works if you're white.

A black guy tried to rittenhouse and was killed the moment he started waving a gun around. Conservative media then unanimously cried, "He shouldn't have had an illegal weapon. Blue lives matter!"
