REM Mining

A creative technique where someone intentionally enters the early REM or hypnagogic state to access heightened imagination, insight, and ideas. REM Mining involves using the mind’s dream-border zone on purpose to pull out concepts, scenes, or inspiration for writing, art, or problem solving.

I was stuck on my story, so I used REM Mining and woke up with the entire plot mapped out.

Alt-Narr™

A narrative format in which a story changes upon each subsequent reading, producing new scenes, altered events, or different outcomes while maintaining a consistent foundational version.
