ann rinaldi

An author young adult novels, mainly geared towards girls. She is most noted for he books dealing with young girls in American history. For example, one of Patrick Henry's daughters in "Or Give Me Death."
Jane just read "Girl in Blue" by Ann Rinaldi, and promptly fell in love with Captain Sheldon.

A term used to describe someone who claims not to be afraid to die.

Sugrit

Using metaphors, similes, personification, and other writing techniques to allude to something. Short for "sugesstive writing". Very useful for bugging out an English teacher.
Example of Sugrit:

Original sentence: Tommy hated Angela's boyfriend, for he wanted to have sex with her.

Use of Sugrit: As passion and sensation overtook him, the angry lion inside of Tommy snarled and roared. It wanted to lash out at the lame, weak rooster before him, and steal his piece of fine meat.

freeze tag

Form of tag in which when tagged by the player who is it, you must "freeze". You can become unfrozen when another player who is not it tags you. The player who is it wins when everyone is tagged.

To be jealous of someone who is wealthy or has wealthy parents.
Girl 1: Ooh, are you going on the trip to Italy in April? I am, it only cost 5,000. Euro that is.
