Get the little buggermug. A small mouse-like humanoid which lives in tunnels coming off the main transit tunnels into Hammerdal (in the Lone Wolf series, or more specifically, in book 2). Noodnics are scavengers which survive by stealing small items and gathering anything which is discarded. They are hoarders, and are somewhat afraid of outsiders.
They appear to be sentient, although the effectiveness of Lone Wolf's animal kinship discipline in communicating with them suggests that they are as much animal as humanoid.

Get the whhaerrremug. A character in Joe Dever and John Grant's Legends of Lone Wolf series, who is a mercenary warrior/assassin and an ally of Lone Wolf. She is one of the party who free Lone Wolf from Helgedad when he is kidnapped in Legends 5: The Claws of Helgedad, although she was assumed dead at the end of book 3.
She appears briefly in the original gamebook series, as one of the passengers on a coach from Ragadorn to Gorn Cove.

Get the manager of ideasmug. The world in which the Lone Wolf and World of Lone Wolf gamebooks are set. Divided into two parts, with a huge rift between them, Magnamund consists of dozens of small countries and also some very scary wild areas such as the Hellswamp, Maakenmire, Doomlands of Naaros, etc. The final stage for the showdown between good and evil (!). The latter is represented mainly by the Darklords and their armies of monsters, but also by a variety of unpleasant beings ranging from the humanoid Drakkarim and Shadakine to the demonic Agarashi and the rat-men known as Vazhags.
Lone Wolf lives in Sommerlund, in northeastern Magnamund.
