v, to glomp
NOT sexual, it is the action of one person lovingly (and dramatically) attacking another with a hug.
A glomp is often preadatory and lies somewhere in the grey area between a caring embrace, and a flying leap to tackle someone.
The term is used extesively in anime culture, as well as online in text form (anime because many anime characters do this often, and online because it is short and descriptive).

real life:
A runs at B as if to bowl her over, but instead picks up B and spins her around while squeezing her tightly.
online:
-*glomp!*
=hi!.. *squeek!* cant breathe ^-^

A native to the australian outback, the drop bear is a mysterious, yet chillingly savage member of the marsupial family. If you are unlucky enough to pitch a tent under a tree inhabited by a drop bear, and rouse it from it's slumber, be prepared for pain country! It will drop from the tree, latching onto your face (a la the facehugger from the alien)and proceeds to rid you of any good looks you may (or may not) have once had.
Only known deterrant is a generous smearing of vegemite behind the ears. It saved me once and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

LIZ or "Low Information Zone" refers to the distance or set of circumstances at which UFOs are recorded when the resulting eyewitness account, image or video contains insufficient information to identify them, even as non-human craft.
Historically, UFOs have stayed at just the right distance so that they can't be identified. Hence, in photos or videos they appear as fuzzy blobs or points of light. Even more curiously this distance seems to vary by if the viewer has a camera, and then by the quality of the zoom lens on that camera. With better cameras and better lighting conditions, the UFOs get further away.
The ability of UFOs to stay in the LIZ has led many to conclude that UFOs are mostly, or entirely, identifiable object like planes, birds, and balloons, and that the reason that UFOs are all in the LIZ is because if they were closer, or had better lighting or focus, then they would be identified and not be UFOs.
The term was coined by UFO skeptic Mick West, in September 2019.

UFO Enthusiast: We have thousands of videos of UFOs
UFO Skeptic: Any that are not in the LIZ?
UFO Enthusiast: Well, no, but there's so many of them!

The schools in the United States have undertaken an acceptional approach to teaching students compared to other developed nations.
Self-centered intentions often lead to acceptional acts of altruism.
In general American Acceptionalism would be the hallmark of our society in the 21st Century.

An old slang term for a detective or investigator (police-affiliated or private). Variants include "dick" or "private dick," the connotations of which were not meant to be obscene.
Shoes in the late 1800s were made of gum rubber - the soft-soled precursors of the modern sneaker. The phrase "to gumshoe" meant to sneak around quietly as if wearing gumshoes.
"Gumshoe man" was originally slang for "thief," but by about 1908 the term "gumshoe" was used to refer to a police detective, and the term has stuck ever since (pun intended).
