This is a situation where a woman of average or below average looks is repeatedly either told she's beautiful looking by her friends, followers on social media or men through online dating apps leading her to believe she's actually in fact much better looking than she really is resulting in the woman thinking she can attain relationships with much more desirable men

However, the more desirable men she pursues are attracted to her only enough to have sex with but not consider her as long term relationship material .
