Positive meaning:
Guy 1- Man, this guy's dancing skills is seriously worth shit.
Guy 2- Yeah man, he's going places.

Negative meaning:
Guy 1- Like my car? I got it just last week.
Guy 2- Haha, man...this car ain't worth shit.

Sarcastic:
Guy 1- This antique will be worth thousands of dollars in years to come.
Guy 2- Yeah man...it'll be worth some serious shit...really.

when an article that was written as to be extremely insightful, groundbreaking, and mentions the word "killer app" in every other paragraph turns out to ultimately be 17 pages of shit.

Given how much paper weighs and how much 17 pages weighs, the equivalent amount of shit is pretty worthless hence, it's worth its weight in shit.

This 17 page article that used the word killer app fifteen times is worth its weight in shit.

Not worth a shite

Irish saying. Describes something which is completely useless and valueless. Alternatively, can be used to describe a completely incompetent person. To Irish people, this phrase is used to refer to something which is below even the value of feces. In other words, the worst level of uselessness something can possibly reach.

My lawnmower isn't worth a shite!
