The term used to describe somebody (more often than not a boy in an indie band) who is endearingly ugly or beautifully messy and unsightly. It is mostly a compliment given by girls, who fancy them, despite the fact that their Converse are dirty and torn, their hair is unbrushed, they smell of crack cocaine and are too skinny. They are metrosexual.

Johnny Borrell (Razorlight), Pete Doherty (Babyshambles) and Carl Barat (Dirty Pretty things) are all unlovely.
