The Burton

The Burton is the moustache style that was researched and developed by the dedication and dreams of Montague Burton, the founding genius Burton, Britain’s leading high-street menswear retailer.

The tache/mo is styled upon two influential moustache types; the English and the Handlebar
The Burton has a full body and curves down across the mouth, with slightly waxed tips - it should never be oversized or exaggerated. There has been years of work put into developing this style - since the company was founded in 1903 the moustache style has been developed, as moustaches were coaxed and groomed to perfection to develop what can now be unveiled as ‘The Burton’.

In November, Burton stores will be revising history, actively encouraging staff & customers to "Go for a Burton" and grow - a moustache whilst raising money for Prostate Cancer as part of Movember. The charity is The Prostate Cancer Charity . Staff of the men’s clothing company are going to enjoy friendly competition in support of the Movember campaign and will be attempting to grow, style and groom the perfect Burton Mo. This is also an opportunity for the company to once more claim its position as the top moustachioed company in the world as the head office, stores and a new generation of Burton tailored men join together to raise money for Movember.

The Burton Coefficient

The Burton Coefficient is used to calculate the loss of control suffered by an item of compaction equipment whilst driving its steel drum up a wet ramp. It was first calculated by esteemed health and safety logorrhoea Christopher Burton on the 5th February 2020.

It is commonly quoted as 3W(Rainfall) - SD (Slope Ratio) = LC (Loss of Control)
