To wipe ones bare behind over someone else's pillow or bed linens, typicall without the other person's knowledge.

John broke into Bill's room and sorry dogged his pillow.

To apologise insincerely to appease someone in the short term, in the way that a dog will look submissive while being scolded but will repeat the same behaviour again once their owner has gone.

I sent a complaint and they wrote back with an apology, but they were just dog sorry as it happened again a week later!
