shields brick 

A shields brick is a portion of chips/fried rice/noodles and curry sauce, bought from numerous Chinese takeaway restaurants in North shields. This is not an expensive item.. It takes on an almost industrial strength brick shape in its container. Can be used as construction material, a weapon, or for culinary delight. Is also inexpensive, so a way to swerve the food banks. =]

Bit skint and clamming..might get a shields brick.
