Selena Gomez is an artist and actress who is loved and supported but also hated and dissed by many other artists and celebrities. She is a very kind, light-hearted woman who really does lover her fans. People say she “can’t sing” and yeah, maybe her singing isn’t as good as others but she CAN sing still. She is also a good song writer and a very close friend of Taylor Swift who was awarded ‘Artist of the Decade’. She was friends with Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers but the ex-Disney stars have parted ways. She used to date Justin Bieber but he IS NOT the reason she is famous.

A really good person. And though people may say that she cannot sing, she always proves them wrong. She’s really pretty. The kind of celebrity that you can hang pictures of all over your room. She currently (as of 2018, and maybe forever) is the most followed person on Instagram. Haters also say isn’t that famous, but one does not have the most followers on IG and not be famous. She’s also really kind. Really loving. Really adorable. Very picturesque. And there’s really no reason to hate her. Unless you’re one of those beliebers that think Selena stole your man.

The main character in the new Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place. Though I like the show, I don't get why she plays such an unlikeable character. Her character is rude, gets in trouble, is a slacker, and really doesn't seem to care about anyone but herself.
I just don't seem to understand, aren't main characters supposed to have at least one redeeming quality?
I'm not trying to bash Selena or the show, I just don't completely agree with how her character is.
