The term "looban" is a Filipino slang which equally means to the American slang "hood" ; it refers to a "ghetto" neighborhood in the streets; it could be a "crib" or any kind of dwelling normally attributed to rappers and hip-hop culture.

I'm out the "looban" man, I ain't goin' back it's too dangerous for me & my riches to live there.
