To be overwhelmingly skillful at an activity, or to overcome extreme hardship. Typically used in the context of a 2D fighting game. A term originally used in the underground fighting game scene in the early 2010s, arose from EVO 2012's Street Fighter IV. It is unknown why it is called "Gearing", but some speculate it could either represent how functional one is, or represent the Guilty Gear franchise, as it rose in popularity in the early 2020s.

A conformist, a tool of the system. Cares only for their own social lives and pleasures, listens to popular music, and plans/attends many social gatherings. Extremely mainstream, dull, shallow, and predictable.

Gear, also known as equipment, is supportive/assistive equipment used in powerlifting to artificially inflate one's numbers in the bench, squat, and deadlift. Gear includes: two-ply or three ply bench shirts, squat suits, belts, wrist wraps, elbow wraps, and knee wraps.
This is not meant to insult geared powerlifters. Powerlifters with gear have to train just as hard as raw powerlifters. Powerlifting is a test of how much YOU can lift, not your gear. Even without equipment geared powerlifters could still put up massive weight.
