frumshki

Frumshki/-e/-y = frum (Yiddish word for religiously observant) + Ashkenazi-Jewish, as opposed to “just Ashkenazi”, which doesn’t always resonate connotatively when referring to certain (secular) Ashkenazi Jewish people or things.
Dovid and Ruchel are frumshki names.

The Vaad HaRabonim of Queens is frumshki af.

Yael Mizrahi says she doesn’t vibe with the Ashkis, but that’s a lie. She’s cool with the very American assimilated ones and modern ones as long as they aren’t too shtark or frumshki.
