friend collector  

A person who, as the name suggests, collects friends on Facebook, Myspace, or other social networking sites. The collector typically does not know the people they are adding, and may do this for one of two reasons:
1) To create a false sense of e-popularity
2) To lurk people and otherwise gain access to information they have no business reading.

friend collector 

A person, who on Facebook, just makes "add friend" requests and will have over 150 "friends", but never posts updates on their page nor makes comments on other pages. They are essentially a boring ghost who bothers people with friend requests.

Marc: "Did you get a request from Julie to be a friend?"

Jenn: "I did, but I rejected her because she is just a friend collector."

Friend Collector 

A Myspacer who adds tons of people, is constantly whored, and allows everyone in, just for the sake of saying they have 8k in their display name. When you try to talk to them, they ignore you, they think they are better than everyone else because of the number of friends they have, even when they don't even know half of them, or talk to them.

That Tera chick is a totaly friend collector, she's never even messaged anyone and she has 5k friends.

vb: 1.the act of inviting people to be your "friend", in online services like MySpace & BlackPlanet. just to increse your "friends list" at these type of web sites.
2.trying to fill your friends list fast by inviting any type of person.
3.what someone/personA, who is found by an person/personB from thier past, thinks when B invites them to be thire friend. however the two people did't really communicate with one another.
