When a teacher gives more attention to a particular student because they see more potential or they favour them generally infront of a class especially.
A very biased behavior where a person who is likely highest-in-command treats a person unfairly, apparently or sometimes regardless of reputation, etc. Imagine a person getting a promotion in a certain workplace/workshop for being a favourite.
#1: Hey #2. Since you are my favourite, how about I put you in a higherposition?
#2. Oh, thanks!

When two people do the same thing, but one gets away with it and the other one doesn't. The one that gets away with it is in the favoritism click, and the one that does not is not in the click.
