If ever you see this word used in the DRC you can basically assume the exact opposite of it's true definition, especially when used in market announcements by AVZ Minerals or CATH.

*AVZ synonyms: "imminent", "within days"
"expedited" and its AVZ synonyms used in a market announcements actually prepare shareholders for the stock to be suspended indefinitely with zero clarification as to why. You should actually take a 5 year holiday and then have a quick glance back at the share price with zero expectations that it has traded at all.

Whaling Expedition

An enterprise operated under the guise of scientific research, or some other unassailable cause like “saving the earth”, which could not otherwise be justified. The term is applicable to a wide range of activities not limited to whaling that are typically subsidized and which obtain a product through obsolete, redundant, or ineffective methods.

Germany's energy policy has become a sort of whaling expedition. Who would have thought that saving the earth could be so expensive?

Expedition 33

I just bought it and it looks great. The score is amazing and Gustauve still looks like a swarthy Robert Pattinson. The French aesthetic was a good choice. The story revolves around the macabre countdown perpetrated by this supernatural entity called "The Paintress" where every year she reduces the number painted (in light) on this giant tree across the sea by 1 and every of the corresponding age vanishes into a cloud of flowers.
