adj. 1. experiencing anxiety or irritation after sending a text or digital message and feeling yourself unable to close the app or otherwise go on with your life because the recipient of your message is writing you back (indicated by the pulsing ellipses), while invariably taking much longer to reply than seems possible or consonant with someone of even average intelligence and working thumbs. 2. So there I stood staring at my phone screen, cursing those flashing dots, too elipsanxious to close the damned thing even though all I really wanted to do is go make myself a cup of tea and pick up where I left off in my book.
