Short for Dedicated Server; a computer that is used for only a few, or just one, specific purpose so that other things do not interfere with that task. This usually refers to webservers and game servers, but can apply to any networked computer dedicated to a specific task.

1. Short for "dedication." Used to describe someone who's all in, 100% committed to whatever they're doing.

2. A shoutout or tribute to someone, usually to celebrate or acknowledge one's performance. Sending a dedi:
— When you request a song on the radio for someone special.
— Giving props to your squad before a performance.
— Tagging someone in a social media post to show love.

An In the Groove machine that is not just In the Groove installed on a DDR machine, it's a separate ITG specific machine. Short for "dedicated cabinet."

I prefer playing on a dedicab instead of a crappy DDR upgrade.
