college week

Akin to a baker's dozen; if you're a college student and get fucked up 7 nights in a row, the following night is an automatic party night. Because isn't getting drunk 8 nights in a row what college is all about?
Person 1: This hair of the dog is the only way to get rid of my hangover from 7 nights of crunking it up. I'll probably keep drinking and turn in into a college week.
Person 2: Don't you have to catch up on a bunch of work after a week of getting plastered?
Person 1: Oh a bit, but who cares? I'm in college

College Weekend

Longer than your typical weekend, a college weekend starts Thursday afternoon after class and ends Monday afternoon when you wake up from your Sunday Funday hangover. In extreme circumstances, a college weekend can even begin on Wednesday night if there are no papers/exams on Thursday or Friday.
Thursday 3:00pm - Dude 1 "let's hit up the liquor store on our way home from class crack some beers and Start this college weekend out the right way!"
Dude 2 "Hell yeah, let's get wasted before we decided where we're gonna go get wasted tonight, Thirsty Thursday!"

Wednesday night Dude 1 - "Hey man do you have any tests or papers due tomorrow or friday?"
dude 2 "nope, what are you thinkin?"
dude 1 "let's hit the liquor store, pick up a 30 and a bottle, and start a good old extended college weekend!
dude 2 "Fuck yeah!"

The Greatest College Weekend in America

University of Texas at Austin's Round Up Weekend is often called the Greatest College Weekend in America or even the world.

Starting Thursday nights and continuing until Sunday, RoundUp is primarily hosted by greek life with students from around the country visiting West Campus in Austin, buying wrist bands and tickets like any big name music festival (such as local ACL), and waiting in lines that stretch street corners to get into Bar Tabs and Parties alike. The Greatest College Weekend in America sold as many as 15,000 tickets to students in a single year, and all the proceeds go to charities.

The parties and drunken debauchery doesn't stop with some students forgoing sleep (something UT students are very familiar with) to keep the party going. It's common for fraternities to hire big name and up and coming artists to play concerts for their parties. This includes B.O.B., Riff Raff, Shwayze, and Travis Porter. They also commonly get big sponsorships and team up with other greek orgs to afford the events, alcohol, private security, bar tenders, etc.

There is nothing like it at any other college in the world, and there probably never will be.

Headlines and Bylines about it include: "UT's Round Up Will Make You Want To Transfer Schools" and "Weekends come and go, but this is one unlike any other"
Bro-den: Have you see the line to get a band for the ___ Party!?
Bro-seff: Of Course! It goes halfway down Rio.
Bro-den: I have a friend who got me a band and I'm bring my homie from high school
Bro-seff: Did he fly in?
Bro-den: Of course, how could he not!? It's going to be The Greatest College Weekend in America

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
