Cajun slang for red ass, a condition of irritation and aggravation, likely to react strongly to any problem. See red ass. Literally translates to "red cabbage".

Choux rouge 

Cajun French, "Red ass" --Cajun slang for a non-Cajun southerner (as from Northern Louisiana, Texas, etc) who has been turned into a redneck/coonass (cajun) hybrid: a red ass.

"Ey, Boudreaux, why you bring dat choux rouge boy 'round here? He chasin' da livestock agin!"
