This is Scottish slang. To "bam up" someone means to wind them up, and/or trying to make them believe something that isn't true.
Example 1
Person 1: My pal said you have to wear Speedos at the pool

Person 2: Naw you don't, you can wear swimming shorts, your pal on the bam up, he was bamming you up

Example 2
Person 1: What time is the plane leaving tomorrow?
Person 2: 6am mate
Person 1: Stop trying to bam me up (knowing it isn't that early)
Person 2: You're nae fun, it's at 12 noon
