anonymize

Today’s strict privacy laws require that you protect consumer information. For this and many other reasons, it is often necessary to anonymize a data set, a blog article, a media report or a case study. Anonomizing a story or a case study can also help protect a confidential source or informant.
“You are doing work for a private Foundation and you believe that their case would make interesting reading for your students. The only problem—you are under a confidentiality agreement. With their permission, you anonymize the information and data and write up their story on your blog—sans anything that can point back to the original.”

Shitter Anonymity

The doctrine of trying to avoid being in the public part of a restroom at the same time as a co-worker emerging from a stall after taking a shit, thereby preserving the anonymity of the person you heard violently exploding in the stall next to you.

Typically working in first-in/first-out order, if you go the bathroom and notice that someone is already using a stall (as if anyone wouldn't notice that earthquake fart), you should politely wait in your stall until that person has exited the restroom before you exit your stall. This order can sometimes be disturbed by speed-shitters and reading-a-freaking-novel shitters. If you're just taking a leak, you do not have to wait.
MAIL GUY: I was dropping trou this morning when I heard someone detonate some serious explosive diarrhea in the stall next to me. I waited for him to wash his hands and leave so that he could have his shitter anonymity.

COPY GUY: I bet it was Ray--that guy eats so much crap he's destined for the brown deluge.

MAIL GUY: Thanks to my good pooping manners, we will never know, and he can keep his dignity.

Anonymice

People who are afraid of exposing themselves to ridicule if they comment with their real names (or known avatar name) will chicken out and respond as "Anonymous". Taken as a group, they're all just a bunch of anonymice.

acronymize

vt; vi To reduce a perfectly acceptable title or phrase into an acronym. . Generally thought to be best avoided in most cases, certainly those not in extensive use, or those whose original phrasing was selected for it's poetic or prosaic beauty or clarity. Especially egregious are acronyms that have been "Reverse Acronymized", or cooked up from acronyms that happen to be words, but whose constituent words are contrived at best.
e.g "Office of Academic Freedom" become OAF
"Compound Acronymizing" is practiced by techie geeks, e.g. JXML

Anonymiss

A female who posts anonymously to internet message boards, typically associated with the popular 4chan image board /b/.
Anonymiss is a direct opposition to the male dominated group of "anons" who overtake /b/. The main focus of anonymiss is to show that girls are on the internets too and boys should expect them.
Jim: Girls on my interwebz?!?
Jack: Uh oh, it's an anonymiss!
