ancestorian

An ancestorian is someone who is actively researching their ancestry, otherwise referred to as family history or genealogy.

The word ancestorian is a portmanteau of ancestry and historian. It has synonyms in family historian and genealogist.
Judy's an ancestorian. She spends hours researching her family history and collating all of the information in her family tree. Like all good ancestorians, she doesn't just collect names like many other genealogists do, she delves much deeper into the lives of her ancestors.

ancestorian

A person who researches the dead people you're related to, and tells you the stuff you truly give a shit about that sites that Ancestry don't. The bullshit meals they had to live on, their horrific work conditions, the palava that was using the toilet and the grizzly details of how they murdered their own children. Real Talk Genealogy.
