South Africa slang for getting drunk... Intensive form is para-wettied. Can also be spelt wettyed (para-wettyed). An alcholic drink is described as a Wetty, and it can also be used to describe the act of drinking.

An insuly for a very silly-billy meanie-weanie person - the term was popularised in North West England by a small group of people. In 2021, the term became overused and was often used in the wrong context; for example, using this insult with no clear reason or context.
