Tryhard

Typically the type of gamer who applies competition to every situation, for example, killing friendlies in TF2, or being a general asshole in a casual or friendly setting by constantly killing players.
Also used as an insult by players lacking in skill when killed by a superior player, although this is the rarer occurrence, and the insulter is usually berated by other players.

1. Can we please kick this tryhard back to a comp server? This is a trade server for a reason.
2. Oh my god, fucking tryhard, get a life lol.

A person who is one of the most annoying in the gaming community, often grouped with campers they people who go to the extreme just to get a simple task done, these types of people are more often seen in MMO FPS's, mainly Call of duty, Destiny, GuildWars 2, GuildWars2 Heart Of Thorns, Overwatch, Exc.

He is being a tryhard, since he is using a tank against a group of supports

A Tryhard is someone trying to pull off techniques used by more skilled people or professionals to show off, more often than not, these are people of a lower skill level.

Player 1: What were you doing! You were right next to the basket, you could have made that shot!
Player 2: I was going to make that 3.

I'm just trying to enjoy this game, but these tryhards are pestering me in chat to think harder and play smarter.
I stopped playing with Jim because he's just too intense to play with when he's always tryharding.
I used to watch tryhard pros on Youtube, but then, I asked myself what the point was and switched to watching funny Youtubers instead.
