the wheels came off the bus

A situation whereby things get going so fast or are so bad that the entire operation project or relationship fall apart in a catastophic manner.
When the adjustable rates mortgages reset the wheels came off the bus. Many Yuppies who had purchased large expensive homes now found themselves in foreclosure unable to sell their homes or make the now huge payments in a declining real estate market.

Jesus take the wheel

When things go awry. When you can no longer take whats happening around you so you ask for the higher power Jesus to take the wheel.
Oh i just cant take this anymore Jesus take the wheel!

until the wheels fall off

It's you and me, until the wheels fall off.

Jesus Take The Wheel

Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Jesus Take The Wheel !!!!! My burdens are overwhelming and it doesn't seem like I'll ever catch up. I feel the pain of stress, hurt and setbacks. Strengthen me to stand up knowing you are always with me.

I had one but the wheels fell off

A sarcastic reply, used when you don't understand what the other person is saying (commonly technical).
Frenchie: C'est ville quos muos pume rouge j'aime marsh'mallo
Paul: I had one but the wheels fell off.

or

Person A: All you have to do is remove the hydraulic overhead slip ring so the cam will meet the side flange.
Person B: Yeah, I had one but the wheels fell off.

reinventing the wheel

Starting something over completely from scratch when there is already something prepared. Often done unnecessarily and for the purpose of taking full credit.
Michelle: Did you see the dress Jenny made? It's just like that one we saw at the mall, except the straps cross.

Carly: Why didn't she just alter that one? She's always reinventing the wheel.
