The Suspicious Tissues
The Suspicious Tissues (commonly referred to by fans as “The Shues”) are an experimental rock band from Southport, England, known for their genre-fluid performances and fiercely independent approach to music production and touring. Formed in 2017 from the ashes of the cult college band Lamb & Mother, The Suspicious Tissues have cultivated a devoted underground following, noted for their unpredictable shows and handcrafted merchandise.
History
The Suspicious Tissues were formed by members of various now-legendary local acts: Psy (formerly of Lamb & Mother), The Prof (ex-Wasteland), and Caminista (ex-Admen). Collectively referred to as the Wing Collective, the founding members have maintained a degree of anonymity, enhancing their urban myth status within UK indie circles. The band initially performed secret pop-up gigs around Merseyside and Greater Manchester, building a cult-like fanbase known as the “Shues”.
Their debut album, often referred to as the “Lost 1st Album”, achieved near-mythical status after master recordings were reportedly stolen during an afterparty at the 2018 Southport Seafront Festival. Although fragments of the album have surfaced online, the full record remains unreleased, adding to the band’s enigmatic reputation.
