On forums a member who never seem to post happy threads, who always seems to be posting about how bad their life is and no matter how much you try to help or offer sympathy they continue to be miserable} to the point that you feel depressed everytime you read a thread of theirs, you feel in the grip of a energy [vampire but they drain your sympathy away leaving nothing for someone who really needs it. A sympathy vampire eventually sucks the life from the forum
