Sipping Whiskey

Sipping Whiskey is a term used to describe a whiskey that is quite smooth and easy to drink with no harsh 'bite' on the palate or throat when you swallow. It is meant to be sipped and savoured.
Most single malt scotch whiskeys and some bourbons are good "Sipping whiskey / whisky".

Doing something extremely queer. As real men chug or shoot their whiskey, taking the time to "examine" the flavor puts an individual's straightness in doubt.
That guy in a dress must be sipping whiskey.
