Generally a gaming term, but can be used anywhere.

The belief that someone's rank or label (commonly in a matchmaking system) is inferior or superior to others' ranks or labels.

For example, if a player has a high rank and encounters another player with a new rank, the first player may demean the other player or call them a noob just for having that low rank.
CS:GO Player 1: I joined a party with a bunch of random Gold Novas and they kicked me just for being a Silver!
CS:GO Player 2: That's rankcism, dude.
