It is when a sports franchise team performs poorly on a habitual basis. They rack up losing records, wasting young talent and draft picks. It is also a monetary matter.
1. — Do you think the Detroit Pistons will make the Playoffs by next year?
2. — Heck no! They’re a poverty franchise.
A scumbag team full of scumbag fans and players who only really care when in contention. A franchise who used to have glory but clearly has been out of the glory days for so long that half of their “fans” who cheer for their team three nights a year have no memory of the glory days because they’ve sucked for so long.
Did you hear? The San Diego Padres are having a parade for almost winning a playoff series against the Dodgers. What a poverty franchise hahaha they are so bad they celebrate almost winning!
The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
