Polyester Humor

Noun - The act of using the concept of something exaggeratedly outlandish as punchline rather than telling a joke with cohesive or subversive punchline. So much so to the point it becomes mundane. The term is a portmanteau of both existing words "humor" and "polyester", the latter of which being due to its invasive nature for seeming high-quality on paper, but in reality being quite low-effort compared to other options.
