When you are talking to someone on the phone and are hinting that you want to end the conversation, but you can't end the call because you don't want to talk to them or they will get all mad.
My mom/girlfriend/random girl kept me on the phone for 47 minutes today, and i couldn't hang up. I was a phone hostage!!
