A phalange is something that is in or on the outside of a plane, the left one is more commonly wrong or broken, as phoebe buffay says. Anyway, the point is, if your friends calls you and tells you to get off of a plane because there is something wrong with the left OR right phalange, then Id suggest that you'd listen to them. It could save your relationship. This word can also be used as Dr. Phalange, or Regina Phalange. Regina Phalange is typically a business women in town on business. This word means NOTHING other than these examples! :)THIS IS A FRIENDS TV SHOW THING, IF YOU DONT GET IT, MOVE ALONG, PLEASE!
Phoebe - "THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE LEFT PHALANGE!!!!!!!"
Phoebe - "Uh, hello, this is Ross Geller's personal physician, Dr. Phalange.
Phoebe - "Hello, Im Regina Phalange. PHALANGE!"

They're technically your finger bones. Also mentioned in friends, as phoebe calls herself Regina Phalange and claims to rachel there is something wrong with her plane to paris's left phalange.
Also, an awesome handshake in which you and another person put your hands out, wiggle them, and say "phalanges"! it's something much cooler than a high five, but given for the same reasons.

n. a "high five", i.e. slapping hands in celebration. From the literal meaning of the word - the bones of the fingers.
Great game, give me phalanges!
