A blend of the words "mediocre" and "idiot." Used to describe someone who is foolish or incompetent, but is remarkably unexceptional at it. They aren't spectacularly bad enough to cause real chaos—they are just thoroughly average at being an idiot.
"Kevin forgot his own password twice today, but he didn't even lock himself out of the account. He's such a meidiot."
"Don't worry about his evil plot; he's too much of a meidiot to actually pull it off."

Contraction of the words "media" and "idiots". Used to describe "news" reporters who continually make inaccurate reports, write stories without fact checking, run government press-releases without any follow-up questions, or provide analysis on topics they know nothing about.
The mediots completely missed this news story.

I can't figure out how to use my new controller. I must be a complete midiot.
