A phrase commonly used in Fandom spaces, such as TikTok comment sections, to describe jokingly show how emotionally impacted they are by an angsty piece of fan-media. To 'kiss the brick', a creator is softening the blow of the Angst, usually with romantic Fluff. Used similarly to the phrase "You were supposed to hold my hand!"
