Hotdogotomy 

A training technique used by dog owners to drain and empty the brain of a distracted, anxious, pouting or angry dog by waving a delicious not-fit-for-human-consumption hot dog (the cheaper, the better) in front of their nose until they forget what they are distracted or upset about and focus on what the owner wants them to do in order to get said hot dog.

"Rex was mad at me for stopping him from humping the neighbors leg so I gave him a hotdogotomy to make him forget all about it and play fetch.
