Goon is often spilt onto ones hair, face and clothes, thus it is a 'shower'. A goon shower is a party game similar to goon of fortune.

Having a bag of cheap wine squirted over an individual, resulting in them essentially having a shower of goon (thus the term Goon Shower has now become common place) as opposed to the traditional water.
