Faxon Logic

A common rhetorical strategy whereby the speaker presents a relatively simple "factual" and/or "reasonable" talking point in order to:

a). Justify an inequity.

b). Justify an atrocity.

c). Generally engage in some form of sophistry.
Benjamin quickly employed some Faxon Logic to defeat his opponent in the marketplace of ideas.
