The you use to describe someone who's name you can't remember in that moment. Another use is for someone who's name you don't want to say.

"Dudiflochy is over there!"

"We better stay away from them."

or

"Um... dudiflochy likes you."
"Who?"
"Whats his name? Oh Jake."
