DLT, or Dreadful Loving Touch, is a form of rough affection you give to your friends when you love them deeply. It’s usually done on the arm or forearm.
To give some DLT, press down firmly with your index finger on someone’s arm or forearm, then slowly
drag your finger down. It’s meant to be slightly painful. Not to hurt them, but to show strong emotion without saying anything.
It’s called Dreadful Loving Touch because it’s a way of saying, “I love you so much that I dread the
day you’ll leave me.”
The phrase before you give DLT has to be along the line of "Do you want some DLT?" or "I'm gonna give you some DLT." If you
don't say these phrases, your harassing someone.
National "DLT"
Day is celebrated on
October 16th.
