Someone who knew how to spell "colledge" in the late 1600's through the 1700's. William and Mary Colledge in Virginia was styled as such when it was propose to King William and Queen Mary, and upon it's founding in 1699. Words change with time. The word for "fields" was different then as well, a field being style "ffield" in those times. So, "colledge" may not be as wrong as you think.

At a convention of the clergy at Jamestown, Dr. Blair submitted a paper entitled "Severall Propositions to be humbly P'sented to the Consideration of the next Generall Assembly, for the better incouragement of Learning By the founding a Colledge in this Country..." This paper urged the Assembly to ask their Majesties for a charter for a college and suggested possible sources of revenue to support it. The project was endorsed by the clergy and Governor Francis Nicholson.

Often used by singaporeans to describe those individuals who possess an almost spiritual, apparational and superior status. Derived from the famous name of a Singapore hero who is meant to have bedded many beauties due to his charm and good looks, it is now thought to be an urban legend due to the fact everyone claims to know the 'Colledge'. May have come from the university students and mispronunciation of the word 'College' to mean something sexual.

Boston College

School full of rich white kids who drink excessively on the weekends but put in work during the week. Most of them will either become doctors (or so they think), teachers, or accountants. Spend way too much time at the gym. Everyone acts like they're failing every class but a "failing" grade to them is actually a B. Not actually in Boston but fucking gorgeous campus. Amazing hockey team, shitty football and basketball teams. No engineering school which is weird, but all in all a top tier school with an annoyingly Catholic vibe.

Every top ten kid in my rich suburban Northeast high school who didn't get into an Ivy went to either University of Virginia or Boston College.

A greedy, monopolistic corporation that abuses and inflicts pain on students everywhere by writing their idea of college entrance exams and charging them a shitload of money for it. The most disgusting part of this is that the college board essentially profits off of the torture and abuse of these kids who are literally working themselves to death.

Tri-City College Prep

An exceedingly small high school in northern Arizona. There, most of the teachers are related, the lunchroom has enough microwaves to heat up Siberia, and the students think they're the best thing since sexual reproduction.
