He came from somewhere back in her long ago
The sentimental fool don't see

Trying hard to recreate what had yet to be created
Once in her life, she musters a smile for his nostalgic tale
Never coming near what he wanted to say
Only to realize it never really was

She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As he rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go

But what a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems to be
Is always better than nothing
Than nothing at all keeps sending him
Somewhere back in her long ago
Where he can still believe there's a place in her life
Someday, somewhere, she will return

She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As he rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go

But what a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems to be (if love can come and love can go, then why can't love return once more?)
Is always better than nothing

(Who got the power?)
Than nothing at all (oh, now)
What a fool believes he sees (I believe she's never gone away)
No wise man has the power

To reason away (to reason away)
What seems to be (oh, if love can come and love can go, oh, mama)
Is always better than nothing (better than nothing)
Than nothing at all (oh, I believe)

They tried to catch us dancin' on the line
They say we took it way too far this time
They gave us no breaks here, but we made our own I swear
I do, I do believe in you, after all that we've been through
I do, I do believe in you (I do believe in you), and everything that we do
We used to run with the dangerous crowd
Where the flame was hot and burning out
We knew we'd have to give, it hit us where we lived
I do, I do believe in you (I do believe in you)
After all that we've been through together
You took away my darkest nights (I do believe in you)
When no one else could see the light
Running blind day after day, some things never want to change, ooh
We knew we'd have to give, it hit us where we lived
I do, I do believe in you (I do believe in you), can't you see
After all that we've been through
You took away my darkest nights (I do believe in you)
When no one else could see the light, yeah
I do, I do believe in you (I do believe in you), and everything that we do
I do, I do believe in you (I do believe in you), and everything that we do

The believing theorem consists of three basic believes one should follow: 1. If you believe you will achieve, 2. If you believe you will receive, and 3. If you believe you will deceive. This theorem is widely accepted by many scientists who have spent their whole lives researching this wondrous topic and has yet to be denied by general belief. One must truly believe in the theorem for one to experience and succumb to its full effect.
Example 1.

Selena: Why do you think so many people don't win the lottery each year, Mel?

Mel: It's particularly simple, Sel. All there is to it is the Believing theorem.

Selena: Woah! What is that?

Mel: Not enough people do believe, so they don't receive.

Selena: It all makes sense now.

Example two:

Kid: I don't think I can win the food competition, mom.

Mom: Why not honey?

Kid: I can't can't eat two thousand cookies mom. I'm only nine.

Mom: Baby, like your grandfather, used to say " If you believe you will achieve. "
Kid: Woah... It all makes sense now. You are right mom!

Who cares what I believe? You won't even answer the question "Do you believe in God?" Motherfucker. If the church doesn't represent what I believe, why should I subordinate myself to it? Because YOU (as an individual) believe I have a responsibility to... You (in aggregate)? So I'm subordinating my will to you (in aggregate)(and that's not a narcissistic or solipsistic expectation)so that you can stand atop the golden mountain as the prophetic shepherd who got people to do the thing you told them to do. "Your beliefs don't matter. You should be acting in accordance with my beliefs." That is what the words you just said mean. (And if you don't I will collude with the conservative media for the purpose of your gaslighting and derision.) And that's the quiet part.
Hym "In the same way that there is no reason to believe that the Marxist's beliefs are motivated compassion for the poor (as opposed to hatred of the rich), one could just as easily say that there is no reason to believe your beliefs are motivated by compassion for young men but rather fear of delinquent men and hatred for people who you perceive to be freeloaders. I mean listen to how you talk about them. They have a duty to be altruistic (in spite of the fact that it decreases there sexual selection prospects) and productive regardless of the outcome (out of a moral responsibility to people whom your beliefs and/or outcome are irrelevant). And, in the context of your constant referencing of me, is the "jump off of a bridge bit" your way of trying to tell me to kill myself? Because that's like the second to you've told people to kill themselves. That's pretty common in the gaming world though some I'm not one to judge but I generally tell people to not kill themselves."
